Being as comfortable as possible at all times is one of my top priorities during my pregnancy. While I tried to wear my normal pants in the beginning, I quickly accepted that maternity leggings were the way to go. I’ve been remaining as active as possible during my pregnancy, so I want leggings that I can wear for exercise and everyday life.
One thing that bothers me about maternity clothes is how expensive they are. As soon as I got pregnant, I was being served ads for $100 leggings, which I found absolutely ridiculous. There seems to be a “pregnancy tax” on everything — but that’s a blog post for another day.
You may be tempted to splurge on maternity leggings but you can really get the same quality for a lot less.
These are my favorite maternity leggings I’ve been living in, all under $100:
CRZ YOGA Womens Butterluxe Maternity Leggings – $32
I’ve been wearing CRZ Yoga brand leggings and shorts even before I got pregnant. These leggings are super buttery smooth, extremely comfortable, and in my opinion, way better quality than Alo. They don’t pill after being washed and aren’t see through. These leggings don’t attract lint and fur, which is something I care about because I have a very fluffy white dog who sheds a lot. They are also very breathable, not leaving me hot and sticky.
In addition to the full length leggings, I also have the biker shorts which are only $26.

SKIMS Maternity High-Waisted Legging – $66
The hype for Skims is justified. These are on the pricier side but I get a lot of wear out of them. I wear these to workout and also for everyday life like work and going out with dresses and longer shirts and sweaters. These have a nice sheen to them and are not sheer either, so you don’t have to worry about flashing anyone while doing squats.
Quality maternity clothes don’t need to cost a fortune. Don’t feel pressured to spend more money just because something has the maternity label on it!
